The NMCS Internet Users Group (IUG) is dedicated to helping its

Connection

The NMCS Internet Users Group (IUG) is dedicated to helping its members and guests better understand and use the capabilities of the Internet and its associated features (e.g., the World Wide Web). If you are new to the Internet and WWW, we can help you learn more about it. If you are an experienced Internet/WWW user, we’d like for you to come and share your information with us. Because the Internet is so dynamic and always changing, the information that you knew yesterday may have been superseded this morning. The IUG meetings help NMCS members keep up with the technology.

Both NMCS speakers and outside speakers give presentations. Handouts, meeting tips, and other information are posted to the NMCS-IUG Yahoo group so that you can use them later.

Some examples of topics we have discussed are The New, Improved Web; Spyware; Antivirus Programs; Google Tips and Tricks; Phishing; Blogging; and Free Stuff on the Internet.

We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM  at the Bear Canyon Senior Center. The Bear Canyon Senior Center is located 4645 Pitt NE. That is just north of Montgomery Blvd. and one street west of Morris Street. Click the map icon if you prefer pictures over verbose descriptions.
