The New Mexico Computer Society is a nonprofit corporation organized
to promote community interest in the computer arts and sciences. We help
people learn how to use computers and what can be done with computers, and
most of all, we strive to facilitate the sharing of information about
computers within our community. If you would like to learn more about who
we are and how we are organized, we have a number of descriptive documents
on line. The computer society is organized into a number of
special interest groups (SIGs). These groups usually meet once a month for
question-and-answer sessions, to hear presentations by experts in the
field, and share information about topics of interest. All New Mexico
Computer Society SIG meetings are open to the public and are free of
charge.
The SIGs meet in convenient locations. Three groups meet at the Bear
Canyon Senior Center, in the evening. The center provides a
well-illuminated parking lot and security. Meetings held at any senior
center are for persons of all ages.
Both newcomers to computing and veterans alike are welcome at all
meetings. Please take a look at our list of groups and join in the
fun!
